Your houseplants are more than just decor; they are sophisticated biological air purifiers. Through a process called phytoremediation, plants like Snake Plants, Pothos, and Peace Lilies actively absorb common indoor toxins—such as formaldehyde and benzene—found in furniture and cleaning products. By trapping these pollutants in their leaves and roots and releasing fresh oxygen, they naturally detoxify your living space. Beyond filtration, they also boost indoor humidity, reducing dust and respiratory irritation for a cleaner, healthier home sanctuary.
Aim for roughly two medium-sized plants for every 100 square feet of living space to notice a difference in air quality.
Focus on "workhorse" plants like Spider Plants and Aloe Vera for the best toxin-scrubbing results.
Keep leaves dust-free; a clean leaf breathes (and cleans) much more efficiently than a dusty one.
There is no "one size fits all" schedule. Instead of watering every Monday, use the finger test: stick your finger about 1–2 inches into the soil. If it feels dry, water it; if it's still damp, wait.
Pro Tip: Most houseplants die from overwatering (root rot) rather than underwatering. When in doubt, wait a day.
Most plants are fine with tap water, but some (like Peace Lilies, Calatheas, and Spider Plants) are sensitive to chlorine and fluoride, which causes brown leaf tips.
The Fix: Let your tap water sit out overnight before using it, or use filtered or rainwater.
Absolutely. Our products are designed with all skin types in mind, including sensitive skin. We recommend patch testing any new skincare product if you have concerns about sensitivities.
The majority of our products are vegan. We clearly indicate on our packaging and online product descriptions which products are vegan-friendly, so you can make informed choices.
Yellowing is the most common "cry for help" and can mean several things:
Overwatering: If the soil is soggy and leaves are mushy.
Underwatering: If the leaves are crispy and the soil is bone-dry.
Natural aging: If it’s just one or two bottom leaves, the plant is likely just making room for new growth.
This usually points to low humidity. Most houseplants are tropical and find indoor air (especially in winter) too dry.
The Fix: Group plants together to create a microclimate, use a pebble tray with water, or run a humidifier nearby. Avoid misting, as it often does more for the ego than the plant!
Many popular plants like Monstera, Pothos, and Snake Plants are toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. Always check a plant's toxicity on the ASPCA website before bringing it home.
